ISRAEL STORIES 2014
Five essays will appear in the drop-down menu when you click on Israel 2014, above the photo of Nimrod Castle. The first four essays -- "Taking Responsibility," "A Scorching Day," "Cacophony" and "Sammi" -- recount my hike on the Shvil, the Israel National Trail, in September, 2014. I zigzagged in a southerly direction from Tsoba, just west of Jerusalem, to the Joe Alon Center next to Kibbutz Lahav. Previously, in 2013, I hiked the Shvil from Kibbutz Dan on the Syrian border to Tel Aviv and then to Jerusalem. I plan on finishing the whole magillah -- first to Arad, and then through the Negev Desert to Eilat -- in the near future.
The fifth essay, "Five Arrows," relates my Israel adventures during the weeks after the hike.
Everything contained here is absolutely true.
